To strengthen our technical leadership, we are looking for an experienced Head of Technical Application Management DIY who will lead our application technology team and play a key role in translating market needs into successful coating solutions.

In this role, you will drive technical excellence, customer-oriented innovation and cross-functional collaboration across product management, R&D and sales.

As Head of Technical Application Management DIY (TAM-DIY) , you will ensure that our products perform successfully in real customer applications and meet the highest technical standards.

You will act as a key technical partner for international customers and internal teams, supporting innovation projects, validating product performance and driving continuous improvement of our coating systems.

Your Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Lead and develop the Technical Application Management (TAM-DIY) Team
• Ensure high-quality technical customer support and application expertise
• Drive continuous improvement of testing methods and application processes

Customer & Market Focus

• Provide technical expertise for international key customers and partners
• Translate customer and market requirements into technical product specifications
• Support sales and product management in customer projects and portfolio discussions

Product & Innovation Support

• Validate product performance through application testing, benchmarking and evaluation
• Contribute to product development projects and portfolio optimization
• Identify improvement opportunities based on customer feedback and market trends

Knowledge Transfer

• Develop and deliver technical trainings for customers and internal teams
• Create technical documentation, application guidelines and best practices
• Represent the company at customer workshops, technical meetings and industry events

• University degree in Coatings Technology, Chemistry, Material Science or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in application technology, technical service or coatings development
• Proven experience in leading technical teams
• Strong understanding of coating systems, application testing and product validation
• Experience working with international customers and cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent in German (Level C1) and English (Level B2)
• Willingness to travel internationally
