For one of our clients we are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Chief Executive Officer, who will lead a newly established and ambitious Business Advisory and commodity trading company based in Switzerland. The ideal candidate will bring a strong leadership track record, deep industry knowledge, and the global exposure required to drive growth, enhance profitability, and establish the company’s footprint in both Business Advisory and Commodity Trading.

This is a critical leadership role suited for a highly self-driven, strategic thinker with proven track record of operating at profit center head level in both Asian and Western markets. The successful candidate should have previously led two to three businesses as a CEO or equivalent executive role with strong techno-commercial understanding and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the company’s business advisory and global trading operations, with full P&L responsibility
• Define and execute business development strategies, including market expansion, risk management, and diversification
• Foster a performance-driven culture focused on operational efficiency and trading excellence
• Develop and maintain high-level relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, financial institutions, regulators, and investors
• Ensure strong governance, regulatory compliance, and corporate responsibility standards
• Build, lead, and retain a high-performing team
• Provide strategic advice to customers to support business planning and growth.
• Identify and recommend improvements in systems, workflows, and processes of customers.
• Analyze performance metrics and translate data into actionable insights for customers.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience:
• Excellent understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of decision making
• Proven leadership as CEO or equivalent in two or more trading or commodity-related businesses
• Strong understanding of the global commodity trading landscape
• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling businesses, entering new markets, and leading turnarounds or strategic transformations
• Geographic Exposure:
• Work experience across both Asia and Western markets is essential. Strong experience working with India would be a strong asset.
• Deep understanding of cultural and regulatory nuances in business advisory and international trade
• Skills & Attributes:
• Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on leadership approach
• Strong commercial and technical acumen and ability to navigate complex supply chains and volatile markets
• Excellent strategic and operational planning skills
• A well-developed global network of industry contacts, including producers, buyers, financial institutions, and regulators
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities

Educational Background:

• Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (required)
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred)
