This position is based in Munich, Germany.
We’re looking for a Commercial Operations Analyst (Data Quality & Reporting) to ensure commercial, sales, and revenue-related data is accurate, timely, and easy to understand across the full customer journey (Lead → Order → Renewals), including channel and lead reporting. You will govern Salesforce master data and field quality, and build/maintain the core reports and dashboards used by leadership to steer new business and renewals/retention performance.
You will partner closely with the Finance-owned BI function (Snowflake + Tableau). While BI owns the platform, you will have the required Tableau admin access to build and maintain dashboards and data sources, and you’ll collaborate to ensure reliable data exchanges and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Govern and steward master data across the commercial customer journey in Salesforce and connected systems (leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities, products, pricing, contracts).
- Define and maintain data standards, validation rules, quality controls, and documentation.
- Own ongoing monitoring of Salesforce field completeness/validity and overall data hygiene (duplicates, missing fields, broken links, inconsistent picklists).
- Coordinate remediation with RevOps and Sales Ops teams.
- Maintain the "single source of truth” for key commercial and revenue-related metrics across Sales, Channel, Finance, and leadership.
- Ensure consistent metric definitions and alignment between Salesforce, Snowflake (Finance BI), and billing sources—especially where revenue is generated downstream and mirrored back into Salesforce via BI.
- Translate Salesforce/CRM, billing, and BI data into clear operational reporting for pipeline, ARR, win rates, lead performance, channel performance, renewals/retention, and new business bookings.
- Own and update management KPI dashboards in Tableau for Lead to Order; co-own Order to Cash dashboards with Finance.
- Build and maintain Tableau reporting assets (dashboards, data sources) with granted admin access.
- Partner with the BI team to ensure Salesforce / Snowflake data exchanges are correctly set up and monitored.
- Regularly health-check the data processes behind reports (Salesforce → Snowflake/BI → Tableau), identify root causes of discrepancies, and drive adjustments with RevOps, Sales Ops, Finance, and BI.
- Triage data/process issues impacting reporting accuracy and adoption.
- Communicate dashboard changes, data issues, and process improvements to stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc reporting requests from commercial leadership.
- Partner with Revenue & Pricing Operations on forecasting tools and inputs.
- Collaborate with Finance on plan vs. actuals, including reconciliation of bookings/revenue views where applicable.
Strong ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment with shifting priorities.
- Proven track record as a self-driven individual contributor who works autonomously, proactively identifies opportunities, and owns projects end-to-end.
- Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience using:
- Salesforce (required)
- Tableau (required)
- HubSpot (preferred)
Working knowledge of Python for analytics/automation is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable partnering across Sales, Marketing, Channel, Finance, and BI.
- Experience in master data stewardship, data governance, or data quality initiatives is highly desirable.
- Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Nice to have certifications (desirable)
- Salesforce: Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Data Architect, Platform App Builder, Tableau CRM & Einstein Discovery Consultant
- Tableau: Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Data Analyst
- HubSpot: HubSpot Reporting Certification, HubSpot Data Management Certification
