Advisory & Financing Solutions (A&FS) is UniCredit's center of excellence for Corporate Finance, M&A Advisory and Capital Markets transactions in top-level strategic dialogues. A&FS partners with blue-chip corporate clients to achieve their strategic goals, creating solutions that shape the economies of Europe and beyond. Sector Advisory within A&FS follows an integrated industry and M&A origination and execution approach with in-depth knowledge of Telecommunication, Media & Technology; Industrials; Consumer, Healthcare & Retail as well as Natural Resources, Utilities & Infrastructure sectors for investment banking and corporate clients.

What you'll be doing

Client relationship management: build, lead and maintain strong relationships with clients in the Healthcare sector, predominantly consisting primarily of the services, pharmaceutical, and biotech subsectors, as well as related areas. Serve as the primary point of contact, addressing clients' financial needs and coordinating comprehensive banking solutions.
Deal origination and execution: identify and originate new business opportunities in the healthcare services and pharmaceutical industries across products. Coordinate execution of transactions, including M&A, capital raising and project financing.
Sector expertise: conduct detailed market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the infrastructure sector. Maintain and leverage sector-specific expertise to provide informed advice and insights to clients.
Client interaction: prepare and deliver presentations and pitches to clients, demonstrating the firm's capabilities and proposed solutions. Customize presentations to address the specific financial and strategic needs of each client.
Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Oversee recruitment, training, and development of team members to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Strategic partnerships: establish and maintain strategic partnerships network across the space. Leverage these relationships to enhance deal flow, co-investment opportunities, and comprehensive client approach.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Financial acumen: deep understanding of financial principles, including corporate finance, investment analysis, and capital markets. Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
  • Sector expertise: extensive knowledge of the healthcare sector, including trends, regulatory environment, and market dynamics. Familiarity with the relevant types of assets (services, pharmeceutical and biotechnology).
  • Deal structuring and execution: proficiency in structuring complex financial transactions, including equity, debt, and hybrid instruments. Strong track record of executing deals, from origination to closing, in both commercial and investment banking contexts.
  • Client relationship management: strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. Ability to understand clients' needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
  • Leadership and team management: proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team of professionals. Experience in recruiting, training, and developing talent within the organization.
  • Strategic thinking: strategic mindset to identify and capitalize on market opportunities and trends. Innovative approach to developing new financial products and solutions for infrastructure clients.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: strong analytical skills to evaluate investment opportunities and financial risks. Ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Project management: expertise in managing multiple projects and transactions simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion. Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams and external advisors.
  • Negotiation and persuasion: excellent negotiation skills to structure favorable deals and agreements. Demonstrated ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Networking skills: extensive network within the infrastructure sector, including industry players, investors, and regulators. Ability to leverage relationships to generate business opportunities and enhance deal flow.
  • Technical proficiency: proficiency in financial software, databases, and tools used in investment banking and infrastructure finance. Familiarity with advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Communication skills: strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex financial concepts. Ability to prepare and deliver compelling presentations and pitches to clients and stakeholders.
  • Cultural and macro awareness: understanding of global markets and cultural nuances in conducting international business. Ability to navigate and manage cross-border transactions and relationships.
