The Chair of Medical Materials and Implants at the TUM School of Engineering and Design, Technical University of Munich, is seeking a Post-Doctoral Candidate (m/f/d) for the development of biohybrid implants for new and innovative therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Independent research in the field of cardiovascular (tissue) engineering (e.g. development of cardiovascular implants)
- Teaching: independent delivery of current courses offered by the chair (lectures, seminars, laboratory courses)
- Mentoring of PhD candidates, supervision of Semester, Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
- Grant acquisition and paper writing
- Integration into the academic environment at TUM
- Administrative support for the chair management (e.g. project management)
Qualification and Experience
- PhD in a field relevant to cardiovascular engineering (e.g. biomedical engineering, medical technology, (medical) physics, mechanical engineering)
- Expertise in cardiovascular tissue engineering
- Evidence of productive research in the field through publications and grant acquisition
- Teaching experience
- Self-motivated/independent, collaborative attitude, work ethics
