Über diesen Job
The Registration Support Assistant (gn) will be working in EUAA's operational environment at BAMF's premises in Munich.
He/she will be responsible for the following tasks, under the coordination and supervision of the EUAA:
Tasks:
- Support the BAMF local office at the lodging phase of the asylum application
- Register applicants for international protection and lodge asylum applications in conformity with the applicable legal provisions, internal procedures and working instructions
- Create, process and close asylum case files within the German asylum cases management system
- Maintain, manage and update asylum application records based on the internal tools and databases of the BAMF
- Be responsible for conducting identification procedures, clarifying identity and origin, and verifying documents of applicants during asylum processing
- Liaise and interact with asylum seekers, authorities, courts and the Federal Police, both in person and in writing, in the context of asylum applications processing, as per internal procedures and working instructions
- Provide support with BAMF general office duties such as document scanning and indexing, mail processing, correspondence, appointment scheduling, and general data entry
- Support the development and implementation of internal procedures, instructions, and documents
- Perform any other duties required in the interest of the service
Preferred qualifications:
- Post-secondary education (completed studies or apprenticeship) evidenced by a diploma or equivalent credential, or secondary education with a diploma
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial environment
- Previous experience within an institutional and intercultural environment would be considered an asset
- Willingness to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
- Very good German language skills (at least a C1-level-equivalent) and good English language skills (at least a B2-level-equivalent)
- Computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), internet use, and web-based applications
- Very strong intercultural & interdisciplinary communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
What to expect:
- Attractive average monthly gross salary of €3,961.92 (depending on hours worked on the assignment)
- Start date: as of June or July 2026
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
