Company Description
More than 20 years ago, zooplus was one of the first to bring the pet category into the world of eCommerce. Today, we stand strong as Europe’s leading online pet platform, delivering moments of happiness to more than 9 million pet parents each year.
We're on a mission to create joy for pets and their parents, driven by our core values of Care, Courage, Openness, and Simplicity. At the heart of everything we do, they inspire us to grow, raise the bar for our customers and fuel a pet-first business.
Job Description
In this role, your main focus will be to support the end-to-end hiring process for working students and junior-level roles—from sourcing and screening to coordinating interviews and ensuring a great candidate experience.
At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we work by helping us automate and digitize our Talent Acquisition processes. Your hands-on experience in hiring will directly inform how we can make our workflows smarter, faster, and more candidate-friendly using modern tools and technologies.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment of working students and junior-level talent across various departments and European regions.
- Manage job postings, candidate communication, and interviews using our Applicant Tracking System (SmartRecruiters).
- Collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and timelines.
- Identify repetitive tasks and explore ways to automate them using digital tools together with our Recruitment Coordinator.
- Contribute to the implementation of AI-powered solutions (e.g., smart templates, bots, automated scheduling).
- Experiment with prompting techniques and AI agents to improve content creation and internal documentation.
- Stay curious and share ideas on how we can improve our hiring experience through technology.
Qualifications
Who You Are
You’re likely a great fit if you’re a student who enjoys working with people and is curious about how technology can make work better. You don’t need to be an expert in AI or automation—but you’re eager to learn and experiment.
You might be studying:
- Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Psychology – for the recruitment and stakeholder collaboration side.
- Information Systems, Software Engineering, Machine Learning or Digitial Business – for the digital enablement and automation aspects.
- Interdisciplinary programs (e.g., Management & Technology, Digital Humanities) – combining both people and tech skills.
What You Bring
Must-haves:
- You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program and are available for 20 hours per week (ideally spread over 4 working days) for at least 8 months (enrolled)
- You have a strong interest in talent acquisition and enjoy working with people.
- You are organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating in English (German is a plus).
Intrinsic motivation to develop further:
- Curiosity about digital tools, automation, and AI in Human Resources.
- Interest in learning how to use tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, prompting techniques, or workflow automation platforms.
- A mindset for continuous improvement and a willingness to experiment with new ideas.
