ISR is accredited by the German authorities as an ‘Anerkannte Internationale Ergänzungsschule’ (International Supplementary School) and by the US accrediting agency Cognia (formerly known as AdvancED). ISR is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme, and also offers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE courses. The school is a certified member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).
ISR has three different kindergarten branches in Neuss, Meerbusch and Düsseldorf. We wish to hire a dedicated Early Years Assistant (m/f/d/x) to join our dynamic educational institution in Neuss as soon as possible.
The Early Years Assistant (m/f/d) is flexible, a team player and able to build respectful, supportive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents. A ’can do’ attitude and a desire to bring out the best in young children, whatever it takes, leads to success in our institution.
- Support children during learning sessions, quiet time, lunchtime and outside play.
- Work with the educator to provide safe, learning experiences for the children while under your supervision.
- Reinforce rules and behaviors of the learning environment during inside and outside activities.
- Ensure children’s safety at all time.
- Encourage all children to behave in a respectful and polite manner.
- Model expected behaviors.
- Assist with Early Check-in and/or Extended Day Care supervision in the group room and on the playground.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Head of Kindergarten and educator.
- Assist children as needed
- A high proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to build effective and professional relationships with children, parents and staff.
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with children and adults.
- Ability to manage time effectively with a positive and flexible attitude.
- Ability to take initiative and manage a situation calmly.
- Hold high levels of motivation and a commitment to high standards.
- Have some knowledge of technology in the learning environment (PC, Interactive Whiteboard, Tablet, Apps etc.)
- Demonstrate personal warmth and enjoyment of working with young children and adults.
- Having experience working in schools or kindergartens is an advantage
