Join us in Autumn 2026 for the winter season and take on a key role in shaping the culinary direction of the Hotel Unterschwarzachhof .
Are you ready to become the backbone of our kitchen organization? At the Unterschwarzachhof you will be part of an internationally managed family business where quality, team spirit, and genuine reliability are our core values. In this role, you are both a strategic mind and an inspiring mentor – organizing processes, developing menus, and ensuring that our kitchen team performs at its very best.
Our culinary concept: half board (breakfast, afternoon buffet, evening menu) with à la carte elements – with the evening menu as the culinary highlight on the highest level: Austrian cuisine with a modern twist.
Your tasks
- Develop and plan menus and culinary concepts to surprise and delight our guests every evening.
- Coordinate the kitchen team (pâtissier, junior chefs, apprentices, dishwashers) with clear structures and efficient scheduling.
- Manage purchasing, stock control, and inventory – including quality checks, adherence to HACCP standards, and supplier relations.
- Monitor food cost and budget in close collaboration with management to balance quality and efficiency.
- Mentor, train, and motivate team members and apprentices through guidance, feedback, and by setting an example.
- Contribute innovative ideas for dishes, products, and presentation to further enhance our culinary offering.
- Support operationally during peak service times to guarantee consistent top-quality results.
What you bring with you
- Completed training as a chef with several years of experience in upscale gastronomy or hospitality.
- Strong expertise in kitchen management: purchasing, scheduling, and menu planning.
- Organizational talent, assertiveness, and passion for leading an international team.
- Creativity and passion for Austrian cuisine enriched with modern influences.
- Resilience, teamwork, and the ability to stay calm and maintain oversight in busy situations.
- Foreign language skills are an advantage.
