REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Lead Manager (Finished Goods Distribution) in Winston Salem, NC
Your key responsibilities will include:
- ‘ Oversee the frequent analysis and development of inventory plans by planners, ensuring the maintenance of master data for direct materials that drive the ERP system.
- Ensure planners have a thorough working knowledge of transportation, order lead times, warehouse capacity, and any associated constraints, providing guidance as needed.
- Supervise the daily monitoring of direct material inventory levels, the creation of purchase orders, and adjustments to current orders, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Guide planners in maintaining knowledge of vendor lead times, capacity, and constraints for each direct material group, ensuring the accurate upkeep of associated master data.
- Provide oversight and support in decision-making concerning material delivery plans, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the analysis of direct material inventory availability issues, helping planners develop and evaluate solutions, and ensuring the communication of the most effective resolutions to stakeholders.
- Ensure planners stay informed about brand planning projects and their impact on planning responsibilities, including end-of-life cycle projects, new brand launches, and promotional programs, to minimize write-offs and support effective execution of company initiatives.
- Manage the daily activities of Lead Logistics Partners in collaboration with planners, supporting service and cost goals.
- Ensure planners understand and support the order-to-cash process as it relates to warehousing and distribution, providing expertise when necessary.
- Encourage and oversee planner participation in project teams and continuous improvement initiatives, driving overall team success.
- Mentor planners in demonstrating basic supply chain analysis, fostering their professional development.
What are we looking for?
- Associate Degree in Logistics, Technical, Business, or related field and 6+ years relevant progressive work experience; or Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Technical, Business, or related field and 2+ years.
- Supply Chain and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to make sound and timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong functional knowledge of computers and information systems.
- Self-motivated, energetic, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- ERP system skillset preferably SAP or Kinaxis Rapid Response
