We are a growing professional services organization providing innovative operational and technology solutions to clients nationwide located in Schaumburg, Il. We pride ourselves on a collaborative culture, continuous improvement, and strong financial controls that support scalable growth.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong NetSuite experience, advanced Excel skills, and prior exposure to Coupa or similar procurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently in NetSuite
- Perform three-way matching (PO, invoice, receipt) and resolve discrepancies
- Manage vendor setup, maintenance, and respond to vendor inquiries
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and ACH payments
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) for reconciliations and reporting
- Partner with Procurement and Operations teams to improve AP workflows
- Support audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor requests
- Identify process improvements and assist with system enhancements
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required)
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis)
- Strong understanding of AP best practices and accounting fundamentals
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Coupa or similar procure-to-pay systems
- Experience in a mid-sized or growing organization
- Prior involvement in system implementations or process improvements
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $25–$27 per hour, based on experience
