We are looking for a Pilot Plant Engineer to join our dynamic Pilot Plant and Innovation team in the Manufacturing, Technology, and Science department. In this hands-on and cross-functional role, you will contribute to developing process robustness, optimizing performance, and supporting the evaluation of new technologies to help us achieve our goals in cost, quality, and delivery.

Your day at Ferring

• Support the effective execution of pilot plant trials and process capability evaluations to ensure process robustness and scalability.

• Execute test plans using statistical tools (SPC, modelling, DoE) to analyze key process parameters at pilot scale.

• Develop expertise in dry form processes and material handling technologies, and support the implementation of innovative solutions.

• Support, facilitate, contribute to or manage strategic, innovative and cross- functional projects.

• Contribute to equipment design, process optimization, and root cause investigations in collaboration with production and MTS teams.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising in industrial-scale production involving pilot plant processes and equipment.

• Lead and drive continuous improvement efforts for the production processes and testing requirements

Behind our innovation…There’s you

• A Master’s Degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in a pilot plant or manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.

• Understanding of cGMP regulations for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

• Good understanding of process control, automation, equipment design, and scale-up principles.

• Proficiency with statistical analysis, data modelling, or process simulation tools is a plus.

• Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification and experience in Design of Experiment (DoE) are a plus.

• Curious, hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and contribute in a dynamic team.

• Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
