The Department Plant-based Foods (150d, plant-based-foods.uni-hohenheim.de/en/homepage) invites applications for a Research Associate / Doctoral Student with the objective of developing sensing solutions for food processing applications within running projects in our team. A major aim is to develop and investigate transfer approaches for biointelligent solutions in collaboration with industry partners.The position is expected to be filled as soon as possible.

Remuneration is in accordance with pay grade E13 TVL-L (50% of regular working hours with subsequent top-up). The position is intended for a PhD.
Your qualifications
- M.Sc. degree (completed or soon to be completed) in engineering, material science (or a strong interest in the field), bioprocess engineering or related fields
- Knowledge in mechanical and material sciences as well as programming
- Interest in engineering and food solutions
- 3D printing
- Scientific creativity, organisation skills, scientific integrity, eagerness and persistence to pursue a PhD, and a high ambition to learn new skills if required
- Ability to work in a team and networking skills
- Well versed in written and oral German and English.
