Senior Manager, Operational Physical Security
CONTEXT
To strengthen our Physical Security (PS) teams and control structure, we are looking for a new Senior Manager to help manage protection of Richemont's assets, personnel, and reputation by mitigating security risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
This position requires a strong understanding of security best practices, risk management principles, and experience in managing security operations in a complex, international environment. Additionally, a high level of soft skills is necessary to ensure proper communication and cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.
SCOPE
- Directly manage PS (Campus) operations at Campus Genevois de Haute Horlogerie (CGHH), Bellevue Headquarters and Villars-sur-Glâne Campus
- Directly manage Group Security PS operations (i.e. strategic events such as – Watches & Wonders, RGMC, AGM, etc.)
- Support and guide operations at critical sites (as defined by Group Security) for PS
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Campuses – Direct PS Management
- Manage a team of PS experts (internal and external) for the Campuses to deliver PS services and ensure appropriate protection for people and security of assets: Campus Genevois de Haute Horlogerie, Bellevue Headquarters and Villars-sur-Glâne Campus
- Manage third-party service partners, ensuring proper contract management, monitoring of performance and suitable ROI
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks, including physical security enhancements, procedural changes, and security awareness training
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations, laws, and industry best practices
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address any identified deficiencies
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and assessments
- Conduct internal PS self-assessments and reviews of new processes, facility modification
- Monitor and control security expenditures to ensure suitable ROI
- Stay alert of emerging security threats and trends, and adapt security strategies accordingly
- Ensure a site presence at Villars-sur-Glâne (minimum of 2 days a week)
- Help coordinating with local law enforcement and internal stakeholders as necessary
- Support teams when conducting thorough investigations of security breaches and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions, and based on the Group Loss prevention manager strategy
Security Operations Management – Critical Sites
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and internal stakeholders as necessary
- Support teams when conducting thorough investigations of security breaches and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions, and based on the Group Loss prevention manager strategy
- Set up regular team meetings/committees to ensure alignment and best practice sharing amongst all critical sites
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of critical sites to identify potential security threats and weaknesses
- Coordinate closely with field PS managers to ensure aligned coordination
- Provide security guidance and support to site personnel, promoting a culture of security awareness and vigilance
- Liaise with the Group PS construction and technology manager to evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the physical security response of critical sites
- Visit all critical sites on a regular basis, as per risk/business needs require
- Develop and implement a physical security strategy for critical sites, aligned with Richemont's overall security objectives and business needs
Security Operations Management – Strategic Events
- Manage the strategic events where Group Security takes a PS ownership role (first LoD), ensuring suitable and sufficient planning, risk mitigation and delivery to business needs
- Ensure appropriate resources are available for the successful management of the events, drawing from both internal and external sources – as appropriate
- Liaise with relevant teams (i.e. Maisons, HSE, Cyber, etc.) to ensure proper coordination and alignment
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in physical security management, with a focus on critical infrastructure protection
- Experience in the luxury goods industry or a similar high-value asset environment is highly desirable
- Experience managing security operations in a multi-site, international environment
- Ability to analyse data from various sources to identify trends, recommendations, key insights and to present it in a way that facilitates decision-making
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Relevant certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) is an asset
- Fluency in French and English is required. Fluency in additional languages (e.g. Italian) is an asset
