Classification:
Work Schedule: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors; with occasional evening and weekend hours; some evening and weekend hours required for special events or proposal deadlines. Travel up to 2% of the work schedule, which includes local (Twin Cities metro area) and national travel.
Salary Range: $52,000-$58,000
Essential Job Duties:
• Support St. Olaf faculty, staff, and administrators to seek external funding partnerships that support all areas of the College.
• Support St. Olaf faculty and staff to develop, improve, budget for, and submit funding proposals, including scholarly research, fellowships, artistic activity, sabbatical support, teaching and learning, student activities, and professional development.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure that funding proposals are accurate, complete, and comply with all St. Olaf policies and guidelines to funder requirements.
• Submit grant proposals through funder portals (grants.gov, research.gov, NIH eRA Commons, eGMS Reach, more) and resolve any submission difficulties.
• Track all narrative and financial reporting requirements and due dates and send timely reminders to post-award colleagues and PIs.
• Research potential funding sources in response to inquiries.
• Maintain effective relations with external funders and consortial partners.
• Maintain effective relationships with funder staff or consultants.
• Consult external funders about emerging projects and to clarify funder guidelines or policies.
• Ensure that the College remains in full and efficient compliance with legal policy and professional practice governing external awards.
• Build relationship with ACM, MPCC, SCAFRO, CLASP, and other consortia.
• Assist with GFCR operations.
• Ensure GFCR information and systems (WordPress website, AirTable database, Google Drive file management) are up-to-date, accurate, and highly functional.
• Prepare data for Director reports to academic leadership on year-to-date progress.
• Invoices and expense payments (using Oracle).
• Provide administrative support for GFCR (event management, office supplies, web updates, notify MarCom of faculty/staff achievements).
• Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
• Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle 6. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Supervision Received and Exercised:
• Reports to the Director of Government, Foundation, and Corporate Relations.
• This position does not supervise staff or students.
