Onsite Engineer (m/w/d)

Why your work matters—and what you achieve with it
As an onsite engineer, you will support our customer on site in Vienna and take on a wide range of tasks in data center operations—from technical support and further development of the server and storage infrastructure to incident and lifecycle management of IT systems to support with quality checks and disaster recovery measures.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Supporting our customers on site in Vienna
• Racking and stacking systems such as servers in the data center
• Managing the decommissioning of IT equipment
• Incident management, including with Microsoft Back Office
• SAN cabling and racking of associated equipment
• 3rd-level support for server hardware and associated software
• Testing, analyzing, and provisioning new server hardware and associated software
• Handling incidents and problems with the data center's monitoring systems, such as high temperatures, UPS battery failure, etc.
• Handling the qualification of data centers and their inspections in accordance with customer SOPs
• Participating in annual disaster recovery tests

What makes you the ideal employee
We are looking for someone who combines knowledge, experience, and passion:

• Completed HTL or technical college education or apprenticeship with a focus on computer science
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the IT or data center environment
• Good technical understanding and ability to perform independent technical analysis and problem solving
• Affinity for hardware and knowledge of IBM, HP, DELL, or similar manufacturers in the areas of maintenance and service
• Ability to work independently and customer-oriented approach
• Experience in facility management is an advantage
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Class B driver's license
