About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Compute & Storage Engineer to deliver advanced consulting engagements, assessment, and lead infrastructure deployment projects for our customers.

This role combines technical leadership, customer-facing consulting, and hands-on project delivery across compute, storage, SAN, virtualization, and container platforms.

You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, conduct architectural assessments, design enterprise solutions, and manage end-to-end technical project implementations. The ideal candidate excels in customer interaction, solution design, and complex infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Consulting & Advisory

Conduct in-depth technical assessments, audits, and workshops for customer infrastructure environments.

Define architectural recommendations, best practices, and modernization strategies across compute, storage, SAN, and virtualization domains.

Translate business and technical requirements into detailed solution designs, migration plans, and implementation roadmaps.

Act as a technical advisor during pre-sales phases when required (high-level design, sizing, solution validation).

Lead the implementation of enterprise server platforms (Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge).

Deploy, configure, and optimize storage systems (IBM FlashSystem, Pure Storage FlashArray, NetApp ONTAP).

Design and implement SAN architectures using Cisco MDS and/or Brocade fabrics (zoning, HA design, ISLs).

Deliver virtualization projects based on VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Linux platforms.

Deploy and integrate container platforms such as OpenShift into existing infrastructures.

Execute migrations, upgrades, capacity expansions, and DR implementations.

Prepare detailed technical documentation (HLD, LLD, implementation guides, operational runbooks).

Serve as the primary technical contact during consulting engagements and project deployments.

Present designs, recommendations, and project outcomes to technical and executive stakeholders.

Manage customer expectations, ensure smooth delivery, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Provide post ‑ deployment knowledge transfer and operational support handover.

Mentor junior consultants and engineers on technologies and methodologies.

Contribute to developing standardized consulting frameworks, templates, and best practices.

Stay current with technology advancements and advise clients and internal teams on adoption strategies.

Strong consulting and deployment experience with Cisco UCS and Dell server platforms.

Expertise with enterprise storage platforms (IBM, Pure Storage, NetApp ONTAP).

Advanced knowledge of SAN design, configuration, and troubleshooting using Cisco MDS and/or Brocade switches.

Highly skilled in VMware vSphere (design + implementation + optimization).

Experience with Nutanix HCI, AHV, and Prism management.

Solid Linux engineering skills (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Experience delivering projects on OpenShift or Kubernetes-based platforms.

Experience with automation and scripting is a plus (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible).

Strong ability to run workshops, assessments, and design sessions with customers.

Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects end-to-end.

Ability to translate complex requirements into clear technical designs.

Strong project coordination and documentation skills.

Ability to work autonomously and lead engagements with minimal supervision.

Strong sense of ownership, professionalism, and service quality.

Leadership and mentoring mindset.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Typically 7–12+ years of experience in compute, storage, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering.
