Medical Device Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Contract duration: 1 year/possible extension

Workload: 100%

Responsibilities:

• Ensure seamless cooperation between hardware and software components, driving integration activities throughout the entire lifecycle of the instrument
• Independently or with minimal support, plan, execute, and document integration activities such as feasibility studies, testing, and troubleshooting
• Develop and verify test methods for instrument testing, maintain and execute complex test cases, and ensure rigorous testing of instrument functionality
• Support and execute troubleshooting and root cause analysis for instrument issues
• Apply statistical methods and data analysis using software tools to evaluate test results, identify trends and correlations, interpret findings, and generate reports that inform decision-making
• Act as the technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Represent projects in internal meetings and collaborate with R&D teams to share domain knowledge and ensure alignment with project goals
• Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration, bringing fresh ideas to the table, encouraging innovation, and supporting continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or technical field, especially in the fields of: biotechnology, biomedical engineering
• Good understanding of systems engineering and its application in instrument development
• Initial professional experience in the field of medical device development
• Initial professional experience in data analysis, evaluation and the application of statistical methods is an advantage
• Affinity for data-related work
• IT/ Tool-Kenntnisse: MS Office / Google Workspace
• Fluent in English and German
