On 17th June 2020, Marcus Meissner and Stefan Beck presented a Webinar at the German Emirates Club with the title "Beyond COVID-19: We all Must Prepare for The Next“New Normal” in Eight Key Areas – A Consultant’s View". On January 28th 2020, the Advisory Group participated the Saudi Railway Forum. The participants of the forum included all major players in the railway sector, and most prominently the Ministers H.E. SALEH BIN NASSER AL-JASSER Minister of Transport and H.E. BANDAR ALKHORAYEF Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources. Marcus Meissner and Mohammed Kharim were able to meet all clients in the sector.

The Annual Conference of the Association of Procurement and Purchasing Managers Russia took place on 21st of November. Marcus Meissner, Senior Partner of the Advisory Group, delivered his speech about challenges and latest trends in procurement from a consultant’s perspective. More than 140 top-managers in procurement and purchasing attended this conference, all of them located in Russia.
President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Saudi Arabia and the UAE in 2019 underlined the growing bilateral business ties between the three nations. The Advisory Group recognized the potential and has worked with its clients in all three countries to facilitate and improve trade and investments. Accordingly a business trip was organized to Russia to meet clients and to attend a procurement conference.
On 14th of November a second team of the Advisory Group attended the ADIPEC Exhibition in Abu Dhabi. Valuable information was gained about the digital transformation of the industry, called “Oil&Gas 4.0”. We met with major players in this field learning from them, but also contributing our expertise into the discussion.
Three seniors of the Advisory Group team attended the recent Abu Dhabi International Exhibition & Conference, showing our strong commitment with the Oli&Gas market. We met with existing and prospective clients and partners. The QMS Bani Yas offshore platform was visited by the whole team. This gave us the opportunity to get a firsthand experience of the challenging environment of working offshore.
