THE TOWER OF POWER The CEO of one of the largest electronics companies in the world once said that he sees his business model most under pressure from "6 people and a dog sitting somewhere in a room". He meant the innovative power of small founding teams that are more flexible and creative than his tanker crew. Ambibox is no longer a 6 people team and we never had a dog. We are developing and building cool stuff with a lot of blood, sweat tears and with a lot of passion of the complete team and suppliers. But that's not all what makes us performing well. The "Power of Tower", a test setup in our lab of DC Loads and DC Sources and the control cabinet, shows that a "minimum" of technology is necessary to be able to do even small tasks adequately. Protecting the health of employees should also not be neglected - a safe workplace is mandatory. Employees are a our most valuable asset. Why I mention it: We get countless offers from small and also large companies that claim to be able to do everything, sometimes without proof of professional qualification and without the hardware and software that is necessary to carry out a development on a solid level. SiC based powerelectronic -when time to market matters- . Solar roof tiles are suited for customers who want to enjoy the benefits of a photovoltaic system without compromising the overall aesthetics of their home. autarq GmbH is offering solar roof tiles for many years now and build equiped several buildings so far. In order to meet increasing customer demand, autarq GmbH was looking for a plug'n play solution, capable of connecting the solar roof tiles to any conventional inverter to increase the user-friendliness and safety of the overall system. Ambibox GmbH developed a DC/DC converter that connects the safe low-voltage technology of the tiles with more or less all commercially available inverters. Thanks to a modular system developed by Ambibox GmbH Autarq's specific requirements were brought into the prototype phase within 4 months and a further 6 months passed until final CE approval. The Autarq PV-converter has an output of 2 x 5.5 kW, 2 MPP and is equiped with a silicon carbide based semiconductor architecture to achieve the highest possible system efficiency.
