In einem von wirtschaftlicher Unsicherheit geprägten Marktumfeld erzielte die BASF-Gruppe im Geschäftsjahr 2023 einen Umsatz von 68,9 Milliarden Euro gegenüber 87,3 Milliarden Euro im Vorjahr. Ausschlaggebend für die Umsatzentwicklung waren deutlich niedrigere Preise und Mengen. Insbesondere gesunkene Rohstoffpreise führten zu geringeren Preisen in nahezu allen Segmenten.
