Simply put, the drama triangle is the games we play in a given situation where we are either a victim, rescuer or persecuter, or a combination thereof. My key learning is to be mindful when we react. How do we feel in a given situation? Do we feel powerless or do we rise up to the challenge? Do we do all the work for others and take away their agency or do we support proactively within our boundaries and allow them to grow? Do we blame others or take accountability? #dramatriangle #coaching #awareness"

Active Listening is one of the most important coaching competencies. Our students get feedback on how they demonstrate these competencies during their weekly supervision sessions. Our trainers use ICF Core Competencies Comparison Table as their guideline. This definition comes from that table of how an MCC level coach would demonstrate active listening. Tashi Deley is a Tibetan greeting which means I honor the greatness in you. This greeting acknowledges how valuable each individual are. It is a statement of really seeing and valuing the other person.What a nice guidance for the holiday time, when we are with our family and loved ones! Try whispering "Tashi Deley" every time you see a loved one this holiday. Great exercise for warming our hearts.
