In this demo, we showcase how the Bloombase StoreSafe Storage Firewall virtual appliance, deployed on a GCP N4A @arm-base Virtual Machine with #Google Axion Processors, performs on-the-fly encryption for crown-jewel data residing in backend storage. Trusted software applications running on @RockyLinux on N4A VMs can seamlessly access and process encrypted genome data as if it were in the clear, enabling life-science researchers and domain experts to work efficiently while complying with #GDPR, #HIPAA, #HITECH, #CCPA, and other global data privacy regulations. This approach takes advantage of N4A’s scalable vCPU and memory options and high I/O throughput to support data-intensive workloads efficiently.
