When the Chinese bullet train will be operational it will be nearly as fast as the Maglev train in Japan. Earlier this year the Maglev hit 590 km/h, a record-breaking speed. The machine was designed by China’s National University of Defense Technology and deployed at the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou. Its top performance is measured as 33.86 quadrillion floating point operations in a single second.
