The rise of smartphones and autonomous (and semi-autonomous) vehicles can be linked to the evolution of cameras. Today, many embedded vision devices demand high-quality image and video data for machine learning and deep learning algorithms – running on the edge. For that, they need the right camera interface. But, popular types like USB, MIPI or GigE are unable to transfer data beyond a mere few meters. Plus, there are bandwidth restrictions. This is where the SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) te...

One of the drawbacks of 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 in Time-of-Flight (𝐓𝐨𝐅) cameras is that they don't capture color information by default. However, delivering 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐆𝐁 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞 can help these cameras recognize the objects of interest in the scene. Unlike other ToF cameras in the market, e-con Systems has designed a 𝐓𝐨𝐅 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 that comes with the combo of a 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 and the 𝐀𝐑𝟎𝟐𝟑𝟒 color global shutt...
