Identification of new business fields and related customers for Enzymaster for European and North American markets in terms of products (mainly fine chemicals for pharma, food & feed and related industries) and R&D services (enzyme screening, directed evolution of enzymes, enzymatic process development, fermentation process development, etc.) which can be expanded to industries such as home and personal care and others.
Collaborate with our US consultants for the North American market penetration.
Managing R&D service projects in the interface between customer and R&D operations in Ningbo which includes preparation of project proposals, update presentations, and reports to the customer.
Participate in new enzymatic product route assessment discussions for identification of new biocatalytic routes and related target products.
Further job tasks include visiting customers, giving company presentations, identification of and participation in interesting trade fairs/exhibitions, visiting relevant conferences in the field of biocatalysis and fine chemical applications such as pharma, food & feed and related industries, and related work activities.
Report to the EVP based in Düsseldorf, Germany on a weekly basis.

By conducting enzyme evolution related experiments, you have the chance to take different responsibilities among microbiology, molecular biology, high-throughput screening, analytical center and bioinformatics in enzyme engineering, but you will only focus on one of these fields finally, so only the technical knowledge in one area is sufficient. You will participate in molecular biological experiments, e.g. construction of directed evolution enzyme libraries, involving gene optimization, primer design, library construction, strain construction, vector preparation and modification. If you have more interest in microbiology, you are supposed to design and implement technical solutions for recombinant protein expression and purification, which can solve problems in the development process. You participate in other microbial experiments, including but not limited to 96-well-plate and shake flask strain culture, preparation of culture media and engineering strains, automatic pipetting workstation program development and support etc., and work closely with team members to ensure the project implementation. Improving the experimental efficiency of high-throughput screening by optimizing experimental procedures and adopting new technologies could also be one of your responsibilities. In analytical center, you are supposed to complete the sample analysis and data processing of the project and communicate the data results to the project leader or related modules in a timely manner. Maintaining analytical instruments and searching for relevant literature in the field is also your responsibility. As a bioinformatician, you are required to build a 3D structure model of candidate enzymes and use computational tools to carry out in silico studies and screening of enzyme variants. You will work closely with experimental scientists in enzyme engineering projects for designing libraries for directed enzyme evolution.
