If you know us at all, you’ll know we’re big fans of great food and even better times. Last Tuesday was no exception - it was time for our next culinary adventure. 🧡 We transformed our café into a Mexican Fiesta! 🌮🌶️
With some of our team working remotely from sunnier places, the office has been a little quieter lately. All the more reason to bring everyone together for a shared lunch - adding a touch of warmth and vacation vibes for those braving the last bits of Berlin’s winter greyness. A...

Our team recently visited the famous Hansa Studios and toured the Berlin of decades past, when icons like David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Depeche Mode were creating music that moved—and sometimes even changed—the world. It was a little surreal being in the same rooms, touching the same instruments, fiddling with the same soundboards as so many brilliant artists.
We left the studio with a buzz in our bones and fresh ideas to inspire others to experience music on another level by playing it themselve...

This month’s #flowkeyBreakfastConvos are difficult to summarize. Depending on which side of the table you were sitting at, you’d overhear topics ranging from Berlin apartment living to the assassination of Gandhi. It was a thoughtful and thought-provoking morning! 🧠 🥐

The #flowkeyBreakfastConvos continue! Here are some snippets (and also a photo of bread because we’re in Germany 🥐🥖🍞):
🏘️ The…challenging…housing situation in Berlin
🚶 The advantages of Europe’s much more pedestrian-friendly sidewalks (a notable mention is that cars don’t stop you every two minutes and ask if you need a ride)
⛹️♀️ The various joys of moving your body—whether it be playing basketball, doing aerial yoga, or something else

The ideal work environment isn’t one size fits all. That’s why we encourage our teammates to find what’s comfortable for them—with a hybrid office setup, various rooms one can work from if they choose to come in, desks for every height, and more. 🧑💻

Some of the topics that came up at this month’s flowkey breakfast:
🌶️ The health benefits of spicy food and cold showers
🏖️ How to manage your time and conquer FOMO when working remotely in a beautiful location (hint: take extra-nice breaks like a lunchtime swim)
🗺️ Which direction of travel gives you the worst jet lag
🚊 Office commutes and the joys of flexible work times that allow you to avoid rush-hour traffic

Travel, coding, architecture, or feng shui… Our library’s many books reflect the various interests of our team.
We’re devoted to personal growth at flowkey, so it’s no wonder that our cozy “Bib” is one of the favorite spots in the office. 📚🥰

Sleeping capsules, airport naps, and “workations” were some of the topics that came up at this month’s flowkey breakfast. We so love these conversations and moments of connection over Brötchen and coffee. 🥐 ☕
With one teammate just back from Taiwan, one currently in the Philippines, and another soon leaving to visit family in Australia, we’re already looking forward to sharing more stories at the next flowkey breakfast.

This December the whole flowkey team gathered at our office in Berlin for festive food and Christmas carols.
Our night was far from silent with lots of laughs, great conversation, and singing around the piano (Mariah would be proud 🥹).
Wishing everyone full bellies, warm hearts, and joyful music this holiday season!
