INERATEC and Sasol are partnering in the Care-O-Sene research project for the production and commercialization of #SustainableAviationFuel. In the project, INERATEC is testing and benchmarking optimized catalysts with its innovative technology. These newly developed catalysts with fewer metal usage, higher activity, and longer lifetime are needed to produce synthetic kerosene, thus playing a vital role in decarbonizing aviation. The goal of INERATEC and its project partners is to sustainably transform the aviation sector by scaling up production technology and thus availability of SAF.
We congratulate Sasol on their opening of the new research, development and analytics centre in Brunsbuettel. The new research and development facility will contribute to the optimization of Fischer-Tropsch catalyst carriers, which are needed for the large-scale production of #SAF.
Daniel Guenther, Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein, Oda Keppler, Ministerial Director at the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, and Alexander Irslinger, INERATEC acting project manager of the #CareOSene project, were guests at the opening ceremony last friday.
