Russia is currently on a stable economic growth path, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday during his annual direct Q&A line in Moscow. He stressed that inflation is at a historic low at the moment. “We have a historic minimum in inflation. This is a very important prerequisite for further growth,” he said. The VAT refund (Tax Free) system testing has been launched April 10 in Russia. As the Russian News Agency says, the first testers are Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi, next to come are the the 2018 World Cup cities. The Ministry of Industry & Trade plans to extend the system to the whole of Russia by the year's end. International visitors are eligible to the VAT refund of 10-12%.
