First time ahead: the Aeolus. In 1947, the Aeolus was the first Memmert product to be way ahead of its time. Named after the Greek god of wind, it was one of the earliest temperature control chambers with an angular interior. This made it possible, for the first time ever, to ensure a uniform distribution of temperature. Another fascinating feature was that the Aeolus was manufactured using recycled aluminum from airplane parts.
