On Friday, December 6th, the holiday spirit was in full swing at QEST as we gathered to celebrate the upcoming season with mulled wine and snacks.
Before the festivities began, our General Managers shared an informative presentation and honored employees who had reached an incredible milestone in 2025 - celebrating 10 and 15 years of dedication to QEST.

On Monday, we were thrilled to welcome Jim MacDougall, Technology Strategy Leader at Viasat to the QEST One Stop Shop. From early development to serial production, testing and everything in between, he got an inside look at our full process and left genuinely impressed. We also had a great discussion on current and future challenges as well as business opportunities.

This week, Thomas Merk, Head of Development and tobias Schönrock Head of Procurement and Supply Chain at Qest, were in Utrecht, The Netherlands ,to visit the European Microwave Exhibition, which is part of the European Microwave Week 2025 and is the largest RF and microwave trade show in Europe
QEST GmbH has recently built and opened a new EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) Chamber at the QAT (QEST Antenna Technology) offices in Waldenbuch. The EMI Chamber is a controlled environment used by our engineers to test the electromagnetic compatibility of our antennas. This ensures precise testing of prototypes against regulatory standards for emissions and susceptibility to interference, before sending them to external providers (accredited labs) for the final qualification exam.

As part of the DRÄXLMAIER Group, we have access to occupational medical care with care providers visiting QEST GmbH every 3 months. Yesterday, we were visited by Dr. Elena Landaverde Mendizabal and Healthcare Specialist Stefanie Steiger. Our employees took advantage of the many services they provide, including eye-tests and vaccinations, along with special examinations linked to any potential workplace hazards, e.g. noise tolerance tests and workplace ergonomics.
In July, we were visited by members of a newly established university ROCKIT group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), whose goal is to develop a self-landing rocket.
This meeting allowed the group to exchange ideas with experts from QEST GmbH on space technology and a possible collaboration in the future.

Together with the QEST GmbH team, we had very successful specification review for the development of a new generation of antennas for Ku and Ka bands for tail-mount installation.

Successful test flight: QEST antenna system in practical use
In close cooperation with GoGo, QEST performed a challenging test flight to validate the performance of our satellite communication antenna for a special customer request. The flight from Germany to Spain was tailored to the specific customer requirements and enabled a comprehensive real-time analysis of all operating parameters.

Bei unserem Familientag am 4. Juli 2025 erfuhren die Mitarbeiter mehr über die Projekte ihrer Kollegen und konnten mit ihren Familienmitgliedern einen Rundgang machen. Dank der QEST/QAT-Mitarbeiter hatten wir ein tolles internationales Buffet mit Spezialitäten aus der ganzen Welt, zusammen mit Würstchen, die von unseren 3 QEST-Geschäftsführern gegrillt wurden.
