Why use a fuel cell as a backup solution in critical infrastructure?
The fuel cell combines the advantages of the battery and the diesel in one solution: Batteries are energy storage devices and therefore ideal for short-term back-up. For long-term solutions, batteries are uneconomical due to the limited capacity and low energy density.
