• Found and fixed production defects in a C++ networking service on ARM64 Linux; validated on hardware with encrypted traffic at 0% packet loss. • Automated hardware testing in Python, covering power cycling, serial capture and fault injection, cutting manual regression effort by 70%. • Extended the NETCONF management model to expose VPN tunnel interfaces, spanning four repositories in C++ and Python; merged 10+, peer-reviewed pull requests across six repositories

• Built a monitoring system that treats each failure as one ongoing event instead of re-alerting every check cycle, cutting alert volume by over 100× versus Prometheus and Nagios. • Traced faults through service dependencies to fix the root cause once, rather than repeatedly reacting to downstream symptoms. • Ran in 14–29 MB using 4× less CPU than Prometheus and 13× less than Nagios at 1,000 samples per second, light enough to run on the router itself. Verified with 47 unit tests.

• Evaluated Rust for the company's new software platform and proved viability by building a working network service. • Bridged Rust to the existing C++ message bus using the cxx crate for memory-safe cross-language calls, avoiding raw C interfaces. • Packaged it into the Yocto build with unit and integration tests, and wrote the internal guide the team now uses to start Rust projects.

• Wrote C/C++ firmware for ARM Cortex-M4F IoT sensor nodes: Bluetooth 5.2/GATT communication and SPI sensor acquisition with DMA. • Designed custom PCB schematics in KiCad, covering component selection, BOM optimisation and JTAG/SWD debug interfaces, under Git version control. • Brought boards up from schematic to validated system; continued supporting the project voluntarily after the contract ended.
