• Explore research and modelling approaches for bicycle traffic systems, focusing on cyclist behaviour, infrastructure performance, and planning-oriented analysis. • Review and synthesise literature on bidirectional cycle paths, contraflow cycling on one-way streets, cyclist actions, and behaviour-oriented approaches to bicycle traffic research. • Investigate modelling concepts for representing cyclists’ tactical and operational behaviour, including agent-based simulation approaches using MATSim and GAMA.

• Designed, validated, and applied heuristics for the simulation and optimisation of urban freight transport demand using MATSim, Jsprit, and Java. • Independently carried out research projects focused on assessing medium- and long-term transport demand and its underlying development factors. • Developed a System Dynamics approach in Vensim to forecast long-term freight demand by accounting for the complex dynamics of the freight transport system and its underlying drivers.

• Independently conducted literature research and analysis on agent-based simulation, urban logistics, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for freight transport. • Supported the programming, development, and application of transport models for assessing freight transport operations using Python, Java, and R, especially the microscopic transport simulation MATSim and the linked vehicle routing solver Jsprit. • Processed, prepared, and analysed transport model data using Python, QGIS, and Microsoft Excel.

• Developed an on-demand transport simulation in PTV Vissim, utilising the COM interface with Python (Python COM‑API). • Evaluated on-demand transport services and their impacts on the traffic state of the road network.

• Coordinated transport and logistics operations across multiple regions of Nigeria based on client-specified destinations, including client-requested diversions and operational vehicle rerouting. • Coordinated fleet maintenance and driver management using Mix Telematics and Navision. • Analysed freight trips and cycle times to optimise journey times and improve trip revenue. • Supervised scheduling and end-to-end product handling processes.

• Coordinated the transport of navigational aids and equipment to outstations. • Optimised vehicle allocation to support operational efficiency. • Prepared air traffic service documentation for training service personnel.
