Analysis and target setting for driver, passenger positions and main controls position. Vehicle key dimensions definition and target setting, vehicle roominess, benchmarking process, compliant to corporate and regulatory requirements. Direct/indirect view, ingress/egress and trunk capacity assessments and proposal development for issue resolution with Studio/Design and part Engineer. CAD development and lead construction of physical mockups for occupant package target validation purposes.

Definition of architecture for body structures and closures. Definition of initial mechanical package with motion envelopes, exclusion zones, surrogate parts, concept sections and optimization studies for closures. Initial/conceptual CAD sheet metal design for body. Initial Bill of Material, target setting for key dimensions and weight saving. Door sections optimization. Lead prototype vehicles (mules) CAD development and construction. Simple Static structural CAE for proposals refinement.

Lead geometrical feasibility studies for new systems and new vehicle programs with geometrical changes at early stages. Development of CAD concepts of body structure and closures, chassis, powertrain and electric/electronic components. CAD envelopes for dynamic systems, hoses, cables and wiring optimal routing and clearances assessments for systems under development. Contribution to keep the Mechanical Package Requirements and Test Procedures updated and competitive.

Responsible for systems and parts CAD assessment of required clearances during components development cycles. Responsible for raising issues and seek resolution for non-compliant systems or parts during the development and later verification of resolution effectiveness by applying physical tests. Lead physical (proving ground-special tracks) tests. Developed a MS Access electronic form to automate classification and storage of Mechanical Package reports and presentations.
