Dr. Alberto Gregori

Within the Interactive graphic printing group, I act as material chemistry expert, with a focus on functional ink formulation. I develop and manage innovative projects in collaboration with colleagues, interacting directly with our partners and customer. I perform technical and market research necessary for product and process development. Organization and execution of training sessions on functional printing.

Starting from end-user request, I developed and managed a project involving 10 industrial and academic partners on additive manufacturing (3D Flexible Electronic Board Project - 3D FEBO). After selecting and involving the interested players, I proposed and agreed to a shared working plan and lead its realization bridging between technology providers and end-user. Moreover, I worked hands-on on as material chemist, synthesizing conductive materials, and formulating inks for ink-jet printing.

Within the basic medical technology department, I worked as material chemist in an international and multidisciplinary group on the development of detector for medical imaging. My activity was part of a EU funded research project, which allowed me to exchange and collaborate with industrial and academic partners throughout Europe. I developed and run several R&D collaborative projects within the network, which led to scientific articles and two patents.

On the one hand, I worked on the synthesis and characterization of monomers and polymers for organic electronics and on the development of a device for testing the mechanical stability of multilayer structures. On the other, I have developed R&D projects with partners in different European countries. During an industrial internship of 8 months (OPVIUS GmbH, Germany) I had my first R&D experience in an industrial environment.
