Alexander Diehl Diaz

Diaz Garcia - span. Specialties is a small, family-run business specializing in the distribution of high quality Spanish food. Starting with sales to private customers, I have made a decisive contribution to the growth of the firm. In 2016 we signed a contract with the German supermarket chain EDEKA and are now an official supplier. Since then I have acquired over 100 EDEKA stores. I also managed all promotional events and the field service. Since summer 2018, the company is also a supplier of REWE Group.

Thanks to my work at MAN Truck & Bus AG, I am now gaining experience at Group level for the first time. Working in this large company gives me insight into a much more complex working environment. I work in quality management and support my team diligently in document control. I also make a decisive contribution to the automation and standardization of processes.

Thanks to my student traineeship at Explido iProspect, I have also had my first experiences in the field of digitization and information technologies. I was responsible for campaign management (e.g. for clients such as Siemens), prepared reports and helped to optimize campaigns and advertisements.

The internship at Conservas Ortiz S.A. was my first work experience abroad. I was mainly responsible for customer acquisition and support in the French market. Due to my linguistic skills, however, I was used in many different ways. I supported the team in the German market, prepared technical and logistical data sheets and translated all possible documents into several languages. I also accompanied the export manager at a promotion event in Italy and later led a promotion event in Germany.

During my time as a student assistant at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich I was responsible for communication and administration.

Working as a student trainee at Computershare Germany was my entry into working life. During this time I supported the team with projects, helped with share register management and was responsible for data collection in French-speaking countries.

The one-week school internship served as a first orientation towards working life. Therefore, I worked in a different area of the company every day this week, which gave me an interesting, broad overview. I have worked in controlling, marketing, sales, production and logistics.
