Berufserfahrung von Alexandre Mehdaoui
- Planning, management and execution of MEMS technology- and development projects - Responsible for the design and modelling (FEM) of MEMS based components and systems, IP about MEMS devices and technologies - In charge of the collaboration with external partners and institutes - MEMS based Gas sensors - Optical sensors (MEMS based Thermal infrared emitters, materials ...)
In charge of innovation for new MEMS technology development for gas sensor applications using piezoelectric transducer (density, viscosity, thermal conductivity, flow): conception, modelling, simulation, design, fabrication, packaging. In charge of the external R&D partnership related to the MEMS technology (contract, concept development, project). Active member of a pluri-disciplinary team (technologist, physicist, electronic engineers, marketing and external partners).
Leading the MEMS PDK (Process Design Kit) development for a variety of Micro-Electromechanical Devices (9-Axis Inertial Sensors, pressure sensors, microphone, piezoelectric transducers). Liaison with external R&D partners and EDA vendors to facilitate the design and development of MEMS PDK platforms.Liaison with customers to facilitate in developed MEMS PDK. Work in a cross functional team of process integration, process module, packaging and testing to realize the development of MEMS PDK Platforms.
- 4 Jahre und 9 Monate, 2011 - Sep. 2015
Technical Project Manager
COVENTOR
Manage Research and Development European Projects for Coventor. In the framework of European projects, I am working in the development of PDK (Process Design Kits) in collaboration with MEMS foundries with a multi-physic approach (mechanic, electrical, electromagnetic, fluidic). This approach enables us to get fast design and modelling of MEMS devices.
- 2008 - 2010
Research and Development Engineer
BURKERT
In charge of MEMS electrochemical sensors and biosensors for water analysis (Designed, fabricated and tested on-line sensor for chlorine detection (electrochemical transducer)). I collaborated closely with pluri-disciplinary teams in an international environment, notably with German, French and Swiss teams, in order to develop MEMS technology inside Bürkert.
- 2007 - 2008
Research Associate
University of Minnesota
In charge of uncooled infrared detectors process optimization (microbolometer based on MEMS technology).
In charge of the design, simulation, fabrication and characterization of RF MEMS Tunable Capacitor in collaboration with STMicroelectronics. Co-integration with MEMS inductors to develop LC filters. The whole process steps were realized by myself with the support of the Center of Micro-Nanotechnology of EPFL (clean room class 100). Involvement in European projects MIMOSA with the main partners like STMicroelectronics, EPFL, CEA-LETI, CSEM, LAAS.
