McLeod USA is a telecommunications company where I worked as territorial Sales Associate. The work for this company involved cold calling on clients in my assigned territory, and presenting a solutions based slate of telecommunication products to small and medium sized companies. While working for McLeod I learned the importance of accurate marketing information, realistic sales forecasts, proper advertising techniques, and the importance of business ethics.

This company sells a variety of lawn care and landscape products. The first requirement was to visit the potential clients property and conduct an initial assessment of their needs, second was to complete a written order, and technical assessment for the technicians. The final duty was to present a price to the client, and negotiate the sale. I left Trugreen Chemlawn when I was recruited by McleodUSA

I started OMIC Marketing Solutions somewhat by accident, as a way of maintaining my working relationships with companies that I was traditionally employed by. Literally; I started with a box cutter, a label scraper, and a cellphone as my only assets. 5 years later, I sold this business for a profit, and maintained a reasonable income for all 5 years that I was in operation. Most vendor representatives work as a contractor until they get a more solid employment offer from a national company.
