• Master Thesis title : “Impact of Backhaul Subframe Misalignment on Uplink System Performance of Relay Enhanced LTE-Advanced Networks” • The research topic is focused on uplink evaluation of relay to relay interference scenarios in uncoordinated LTE-Advanced networks, and on means to mitigate such interference and optimize the performance of the network. • Tasks also included extending and completing an existing Matlab system level simulator developed by the Radio research team of Nokia Siemens Networks

• Develop, implement and evaluate performance of a Matlab based communications chain simulator including wireless channel and signal processing at terminals for a satellite communications network coding experiment. The main focus was to investigate the performance of a turbo successive cancellation receiver at the satellite side. • Develop together with industry partners C/C++ implementations for real time/computer simulations and validation of the experiment. My tasks included development of turbo encode

• Develop a e-language verification component (eVC) to verify the compliance of digital circuit VHDL designs with AMBA AXI protocol • Develop a verification environment for the same protocol • Training in verification and VHDL design
