Contracted to IT-Wing, E-3A, NATO Airbase, Geilenkirchen, Germany to install, test, maintain and support HARDPack software (High Availability Realtime Distributed PACKage) - this is a CORBA orb based multiplatform middleware software architecture enabling client/server messaging between the main components of the AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) aircraft flight mission software.

Part of design & devt team for SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) based IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) server enabling multimedia services for IETF/3GPP SIP enabled clients - customer: Sony Ericsson. Design & implementation in all areas of functionality including: CSCFs, (Call Session Control Functions), dynamic configuration file support, logging, database management, test automation/tool/environment, prototyped OpenSER CSCFs, SIP message routing scenarios, user id registration & authentication.

Successfully planned and organised conference: 'Meeting the Health MDGs in Fragile States' for a medical health charity at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine with 100 participants. Tasks included: • Planning/logistics/budgeting • Overseeing and coordinating conference staff & ushers • Liaising with conference speakers re: travel, flight & hotel bookings and presentation material • Ensuring all speaker and participant issues resolved • Conference marketing • Catering

Designed & developed Satellite Control Centre (SCC) & kernel software components within SOSG (Satellite Operations Support Group). Tasks included:- configurable permanent data file archive & retrieval system; warm and cold system startup configuration; telemetry parameter parser. • Customer Acceptance Test phase of SKYNET5 SCC working with client/customer: L3 Storm/EADS Astrium including: requirements driven test case design, producing user acceptance test document, test planning & execution.

Organised parents' retirement to their country of origin (house purchase, moving/shipping, house renovation in the Caribbean). Continued to develop current & acquired new software skills with courses & personal projects while also seeking employment.

Telecom Management Network projects including:- • Aug 2000-Dec 2000 Assignment - Transferred major development project to Nortel, Montreal Responsible for setting up project development environment and training new 6-person development team. Responsibilities included: software architecture knowledge transfer; securing required equipment & tool resources; coached new team in development & testing environment; consulted with verification group on architecture & verification strategy planning.

Part of design and development team implementing commercial pre-press software solutions. Tasks included:- • Redesigned & implemented client-server software on Novell, Windows & Mac platforms leading a team of 3 • Technical documentation and language localisation (managed translation teams) • Installation, training & support of software; software demonstration at industry trade shows • Company website maintenance Used: C (Borland C, Unix, Apple Mac), XVT (X-platform GUI devt), MS-Word, Novell Netware.
