Master thesis research (main topic: food chemistry, herbal beverage). The period abroad included: - Research project on Sideritis herbal infusion, personally held from bibliography to conclusions. - Weekly reports to my supervisor and periodic presentation of the results to the other researchers. - Autonomous work in the chemistry laboratory, after an introduction week. - Involvement in the "scientific life" of the research group. - Weekly training in the sensory analysis panel.

Screening and isolation of deep sea sponge microorganisms for the production of quorum quenching strains and compounds active against pathogen and food spoiling bacteria. Project phases: 1. Isolation of bacteria from marine sponges 2. Test of all strains against human and plant pathogens 3. Test of all strains for quorum-quenching activity. 4. Identification through 16S rDNA sequencing
