Lead a biotech start-up

Lead teh industrial biotech group at a biotech startup.

Initiated a biotech research and development service organization within DSM to leverage technolgy and resources. Later helped DSM convert this organization into the Emerging Business Area (EBA) White Biotechnology at DSM Innovation Center.

Lead a team to commercialize a DSM developed technology in a high performance elastomer with automotive transmission belts as the primary market. Took technology from laboratory to pilot scale level, completed the proof of concept stage, sold technology to another elastomer company.

Sales Manager - Commercial products from internal start-ups. Business Development Start-ups and new technologies. Managed investments in technology start-up companies for VC Fund.

R&D, market and business development in engineering thermoplastics

Co-founded a start-up; Macromeric division at Furon. Planned, designed, and set up laboratories and an extrusion line. Hired and trained new employees.
