Dr. Anna Rustler

I am pursuing my PhD in synthetic organic chemistry in the group of Prof. Dr. Oliver Reiser. My research focuses on the transformations of vinylcyclopropanes employing old and new catalytic procedures. The chemistry employed ranges from classic catalysis to newer methods such as photoredoxcatalysis. Supervision of undergrad (B. Sc.) students and grad (M. Sc.) students in lab courses. Member of the Research Training Group (RTG) 2620 ''Ion Pair Effects in Molecular Reactivity'' (April 1st 2021-present)

National board member, social media (2021-2023) and finances (2021-2022). Finances: overseeing the national board budget, finding funding for new projects, speaking with industry about sponsoring opportunities and contact for our regional sections. Close work with the financial administration of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) Social Media responsibilities included overseeing our pages, (re)posting and sharing, post creation, planning, follower analysis and supporting our regional structures.

Internship in the editorial office of ChemBioChem Tasks: peer-review, copy-editing, coding, social media and writing articles for ChemistryViews.
