• Responsible for the quasi-static, real-time vTAG Formula 1 vehicle model. Responsibilities include integrating improvements, both requested and discovered, managing testing and roll-out to users (Race Engineering and Vehicle Performance departments), and investigating possible future developments. • Introducing miscellaneous full vehicle model upgrades upon feedback received. • Supporting race strategy during events via rival radio monitoring.

01/2017 - 08/2017: Designing and CAE validating powertrain structural components. 08/2016 - 11/2016: Created and used the Torsional Vibration Analysis model for the coupler assembly for the Ford Transit PHEV van. Performed first-principles fatigue analysis on the coupler driveshaft. 04/2016 - 05/2016: Created the hydraulics model for the Ben Ainslie Racing T3 racing boat using MatLab and Simscape. Model validated using sailing data and in use for performance investigations.

• Responsible for the benchmarking, creation, design, management, integration, manufacture and race preparation of the complete powertrain system of the LFS15 racing car. • Created and maintained a 1-D engine model for relative performance investigation. • Designed the intake and exhaust systems, starting from concepts creation and analysis, through testing of solutions, to manufacture, installation and testing. • Managed the workload of 4 junior team members interested in engines.

Transient dyno operator: was involved in from 1. setting-up: logistics, calibration, planning; through 2. live running: monitoring the V8 engine and KERS through ATLAS, troubleshooting problems, organising emergency repairs; to 3. setting-down: organising engine disassembly, post-test analysis and writing lessons learned reports. All performed in the tight timeframes of the Formula 1 industry.
