I do offer my wide-ranging expertise to several clients as a registered independent professional. I.e. essentially what I do is the same as pre-2010, but with a formal disruption, due to the will of transitioning my professional life from a “client->assignment->delivery->payment” process, to a dedication to (co-)creating and bringing to success my own ventures, using a “idea->product->users->(?)->revenues” process.

We’ve been asked by two local administrations to map the trips of the local transportation covered by some bus/train services under their jurisdiction. Proposed partnership with Google (Transit project) and implemented the solutions. The projects are not yet open to public.

I won a grant from “Regione Puglia” (local administration) and co-founded “Archivagando”, a cultural association pushing for a collaborative archive of the architectural heritage of region Puglia (Italy), that I implemented with custom extensions developed and applied on top of a Mediawiki engine with Semantic MediaWiki and other extensions. Co-founded while attending University, a local scope company (ICT, Multimedia, Web) delivering several projects to clients. Product architect, project manager, developer, sysadmin, art director and graphics designer, clients’ reference, support guy, etc. Many completed projects include me as the main (or sole) man behind, mostly using PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, javascript, and a couple of desktop apps. Websites, blogs, forums, etc. with common or custom requirements; custom apps; multimedia CDs, stationery.

I’ve worked as a teacher in three courses at “I.I.P. Bari”, a school of professional training: 150 hours in lessons about “How to create websites” for the “Webmaster” course; also member of the board of examiners. 50 hours in lessons about “Informatics” for the “Responsible for sales and distribution services area” course; also member of the board of examiners. 200 hours in lessons about “Digital images’ creation and manipulation” for the “Graphic pager” course.

Result: 108/110. Thesis Project: prototype of a system to manage hospitalized patients with low-cost portable devices, through an easy to use modern minimalistic UI and a frictionless UX. Designed and implemented on a Nokia 770 Internet Tablet (OS: Maemo Linux; main tools: Python, SDL, SQLite).

Result: 60/60.
