As a Senior EMC Design Engineer at NXP, I develop EMC-robust analog and MSIP for automotive SoCs and ASICs across the complete product lifecycle, from concept and architecture to design, verification, silicon bring-up, and characterization. My responsibilities include EMC-focused test-board development, PISI and EMI analysis, mixed-signal verification, post-silicon validation, and technical leadership to ensure EMC-compliant, high-reliability automotive solutions.

At Avnet Embedded, I led EMC verification and certification for embedded systems. I conducted EMC-focused hardware and system design reviews, ensuring compliance with FCC, CE and OEM-specific standards. My responsibilities included emissions, immunity, ESD, EFT, surge, harmonics, flicker, and magnetic field testing. I also supported accredited laboratories, optimized test configurations, and delivered cost-effective EMC design improvements that reduced PCB redesigns and accelerated product release.

During my research in EMC and Interference Engineering at Leibniz University Hannover, in collaboration with the German Military Research Institute (WIS), I developed statistical methods to assess EMI risks in smart grids. Using stochastic and Monte Carlo techniques, I analyzed system vulnerabilities, validated models through automated testing, evaluated the susceptibility of smart-grid devices and communication systems, and applied Python-based modelling to support robust, resilient power-network design.

I work as a power system engineer for system design, UK electricity transmission owner National Grid. My day to day work includes: Full project engineering for the electrical discipline (power systems) Preparation of technical material requisitions Preparation of specifications and data sheets Network analysis and calculations (short circuit, load flow, NPS, Igr, Thermal, Fault level and Voltage) for existing assets plus new demand and generation connections to the UK electricity transmission system.
