Master Thesis student at Fraunhofer – IWES; working on "Simulation of Heat Transfer for Wind Turbine Rotor Blade for Ice Prevention. The goal is to study conjugate heat transfer across an airfoil blade geometry. The airfoil is heated from inside and flow around the airfoil is resolved using Navier Stokes equation using OpenFOAM. The heat from the airfoil is transferred to the air flowing over it, resulting an increase in the outside air temperature, which then in turn could prevent icing in cold conditions
