Dr. Arun Prakash

As a post doctoral researcher, I was involved in managing projects from the Industry. During this period, I helped optimize the hot rolling process chain of a client using finite element simulations. I also programmed a parameter optimisation tool for another client, so as to help them perform finite element simulations with accurate parameter sets.

The Research Assistant position is a general employee position focussed only on research, with an option towards a PhD. My Job responsibilities included development of own code/programs for crystal plasticity incorporating twinning and recrystallization. Furthermore, I managed a couple of projects funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

As an entry level programmer, I was involved in performance and functional testing of Web Portals for General Motors.
