Rotational program in the pharmaceutical industry understanding different departments and the role they play towards the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

• Developed an online monitoring tool to monitor the product cell concentration in the fermentation process involving Bacillus Subtilis bacteria. • Found the quality measurements and accurate correlation of them with model states to establish efficient observation models • Established data transfer connection between the plant and the applied software, also applied the online monitoring tool to a real-life plant using Matlab as well as Plantegrity software

 Gained deep insight into the biochemical fermentation process involving Bacillus Subtilis bacteria  Helped improve the model by analyzing available data from the plant with existing data-based model  Deep dived into the cell concentration measurement technique called di-electric spectroscopy and analyzed the correlation for this sensor data

• Identified the suitable algorithm in the ‘Python' programming language to find steady-state values of the reactor model • Evaluated the optimum of the reactor states in terms of the maximum production using ‘SciPy’ and ‘CasADi’ libraries, also compared their efficiency • Optimized the model with structural mismatch compared to the real reactor

•Handled the responsibility of safe and smooth operation as well as maintenance of the involved units CO-shift, Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA), Fired Heater, Cooling Towers, and De-aerator while working in the ‘ Operations Team ’ •Executed important tasks during start-ups and shut-downs of plants involved e.g. superheated steam line-up, boiler steam line-up, hydrogen gas line-up, etc.
